Family Office Networks Philanthropy Supports Homes 4 the Homeless
As Part of Dedicated Mission to Help the U.S. Homeless Population
PALM BEACH, FL – (July 26, 2021) — As the homeless crisis continues to rise at an alarming rate, Family Office Networks (FON) Philanthropy is committing increased resources to combat this issue together with backing from family offices within the FON network. Leading the effort is Steve Schneider and his team at Homes 4 the Homeless, a California non-profit that develops modular, transitional housing and which has been short listed to lead large scale homeless developments exceeding $1 billion in government projects.
Steve Schneider, the director of the San Francisco Bay and Silicon Valley Family Office Associations, has recently taken over as head of Family Office Networks philanthropic division. With his background and expertise running a non-profit, Steve and his team will be leading Family Office Networks philanthropic division. With the goal of helping our Family Offices find meaningful ways to help their communities, Family Office Networks will take its philanthropic efforts to the next level with his support.
Homes 4 the Homeless was recommended by Bloomberg Associates and engaged by the City of Newark to lead an important project called NEWARK Hope Village, which is an innovative 90-day program using converted containers to shelter residents who are at-risk or without addresses in Newark. The team has been responsible for the design, manufacturing, project management and site planning of the development as well as furnishing the units and working with supportive services providers.
“All of us who have been blessed with good fortune have a responsibility to help those who have not,” said FON Founder and CEO Andrew Schneider. “I invite family offices around the United States and the world to join me in our effort to help vulnerable men, women and children find shelter.”
Family Office Network’s philanthropy division is seeking family offices interested in addressing homelessness in the United States and all financial donations will support life-saving projects that help the unsheltered. Homes 4 the Homeless is also seeking shipping companies, construction companies, code compliance professionals, architects, designers, engineers and those with experience in writing legislation and lobbying to provide support as well as donations of lightly used shipping containers.
